Castle Klevenow was built in the 14th century and offers about 1,000 square metes of living space. It is set in a 10 hectare large English garden with lakes, woods and fields. There are several old trees in the park, which are historically protected.
Castle Klevenow was first mentioned in 1387. It is the oldest house in northern Germany, with the exception of some buildings in the hanseatic league cities and a few churches, that we know of. The original castle is still standing, and is the prominent part of the house between and including the two towers.
